Hello Hello! I have returned to the blogosphere! For a few reasons, I stepped back from my Instagram account and from this blog for a few weeks. The main reason being, I started working full time again for the first time in 4 months. While I could have continued to try and make time for blogging and recipe testing while figuring out my new routine, I decided it was best to just take some time to get settled. For the first time in my life, I appreciated the idea of not trying to “do it all.” I knew that a new routine was likely to be a little fatiguing so I set my hobbies to the side knowing that they would be waiting for me when I was ready. I also did something very major for myself, and was happy that I was able to do so without freaking out — I decreased my workout frequency and intensity in my first few weeks of work. Let me tell you, listening to your body and not try to over work it does wonders for your stress levels.
Now I am back, with a new name, new blog, and a changed Instagram. I’ll soon have a blog post dedicated to explaining in detail all of the reasons for changing but for today, I am just going to give you a simple and delicious latte recipe just begging to be made on a cool fall morning.
For my birthday, my parents so graciously bought us a coffee/espresso machine and we’ve become hooked on the deliciousness of home brewed illy brand espresso. (I hope your ready for tons of latte recipes!) This recipe is an espresso spiked golden milk latte. While I love golden milk lattes on their own, with an added shot of espresso I am totally hooked. While I added a few fancy ingredients, ill note which ones are not necessary at all for the taste as I have made it with and without them (i.e. collagen and ashwaganda). This also can be made with dark roast coffee if you don’t have an espresso machine! If you really want to have a great morning, you should make some of this banana bread too. Your taste buds will thank you!
Go make this now! (and then put on wool socks and and a flannel because you’ll feel so ready for fall.)
