Mint Matcha Green Smoothie

I know, I know: two smoothie posts in a row. My schedule was a little whack this week so smoothies were an easy go-to when meals needed to be consumed on the move. This smoothie was an ultra delicious and nutritious mint matcha green smoothie. This  recipe is pretty low in added sugar as I only used half of a banana, and Aloha protein powder is also wonderfully low in added sugar. I often add greens to my smoothie for an added veggie punch, and 9 times out of 10, I use spinach. Recently though, Ive been a little over spinach and have instead been opting for leafier greens like  romaine or green leaf lettuce. I had never tried adding romaine to a smoothie, but I figured it really couldn’t be any different than adding kale, right? This smoothie was fairly simple in regards to ingredients and was loaded with protein and healthy fats. The mint added a refreshing feel to the smoothie and the matcha added some green energy and antioxidants. This smoothie was purely experimental but I was so so happy with the outcome, I couldn’t help but share!
